Golden monkeys, chimpanzees, and the forests of the Virunga.

Tracking primates in Rwanda is not a zoo experience or a safari with sightings at a safe distance: you hike into the forest, sometimes for hours, until the guides find the group, and then you get a short, close stretch of time with them. Rwanda's conservation model, which sends a share of park permit revenue to surrounding communities, is a big part of why that forest is still there.
