Seven-year parts commitment. Open STL files for chassis components. Ambassador-network refurb. Repair tiers documented.
Stage 10 deliverable. Emergency device + survivor-user base = service discipline matters. This document covers the entire lifecycle from first-customer-purchase to 7-year-parts-sunset.

1. User requests service via companion app or web portal → prints prepaid label + Ambassador-instructions slip 2. Unit arrives at WWP service facility (or routes to Ambassador's home workshop for small-volume Ambassadors) 3. Ambassador intakes unit, scans serial, pulls service history from WanderOS 4. Ambassador matches unit to its original Ambassador — that Ambassador (if still active) receives service-credit; if not, the receiving Ambassador handles + logs relationship continuity 5. Diagnosis documented in WanderOS service history 6. Quote back to customer if out-of-warranty or user-caused damage; customer confirms 7. Service performed at Tier-1 (cosmetic, DIY-equivalent) or Tier-2 (IP68 potting, mainboard swap, antenna re-potting) 8. Test suite run — same as production test 9. Ambassador signature retained, service history updated 10. Return shipped to customer; Ambassador-signed service-completion card included
Service revenue feeds the 60/30/10 split:
Per-service Ambassador time typically 0.5-3 hours depending on complexity.
---
Special designation: users who registered as safe-passage pattern at unboxing receive lifetime replacement at cost for the device's service tier. WWP commitment: if a survivor-pattern user's device is lost, stolen, confiscated, or damaged in a hostile situation, replacement is provided at BOM cost plus shipping — no questions asked.
Cost to WWP: roughly 30-40 % of retail. Funded from Community Pool surplus.

1. Production (IP68-rated): PA6-GF30 (glass-filled polyamide) via injection mold — NOT DIY. Requires industrial tooling. 2. High-durability DIY: PA6-CF (carbon-filled nylon) — FDM-printable but requires 500°C-capable hotend + annealing 3. Great DIY default: ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate) — UV-stable, good impact, outdoor-weather-stable. Slight smell during print; enclosure + vent recommended. 4. Easy DIY: PETG — stronger than PLA, UV-OK for months but not years 5. Avoid for outdoor: PLA — brittles in heat, degrades in UV 6. Flexible parts (buttons, lanyards): TPU 95A — good shore hardness for button feel
DIY-printed chassis will not achieve IP68 without additional treatment. Full IP68 requires injection-molded PA6-GF30 + factory O-ring + Gore vent + Ambassador-grade potting.
DIY paths for approximate weather-resistance (IP65-IP67):
For true survivor / emergency use, factory IP68 is the right choice. DIY is for makers, remixers, custom-color, and post-7-year-spare community.

The Ultra-PLB enclosure STL will only be released after our Cospas-Sarsat type-approval is granted, to prevent confusion about what's a real PLB vs a 3D-printed housing.
