Mission

The WanderBaby is a local-first baby monitor designed to replace existing products such as Owlet, Nanit, and Cubo. It features a camera, audio, and breathing motion monitoring, with a focus on privacy and security. The device is built around the ESP32-S3 and IMX377 sensor, with a MEMS mic and IR ring. Recordings are encrypted on-device, and the device features a hardware privacy shutter and mic-kill switch.

Identity-Aware Feature Set

• Hardware mic-kill switch with SPDT latching and saffron LED indicator
• All recordings encrypted on-device with user-held key and covert override impossible
• Panic-wipe feature with physical button-combo to erase all recordings and factory-reset
• Privacy mode to disable remote viewing for 24 hours at a tap (DV survivor)
