±15%
3. Environmental Stress Testing — Simulate extreme conditions.
- Test Case:
- Temperature Range: 0°C to 40°C
- Humidity Range: 20% to 90%
- Expected Output: Bulb should continue operation without failure or d
degradation of performance
Field-Replaceable Units (FRUs)
List of FRUs:
1. LED Module — LMT-WB01
- Part Number: WB-LM01A
- Vendor: Luxeon (LSN)
2. Microcontroller Unit (MCU) — MCU-NRF52840

- Vendor: Mean Well (MWD)
4. Mesh Radio Unit (MRU) — MRU-MDBT50Q
- Part Number: MDBT50Q-1MV2
- Vendor: Raytac
Testing Procedures:
- LED Module:
- Replace with new LMT-WB01 and verify light output matches original.
- Tolerance: ±3% on luminous flux, ±5% on color temperature
- MCU:
- Replace MCU-NRF52840 with spare unit (must be from approved batch).
- Test POST for correct firmware version and functionality.
- Power Supply Module:
- Disconnect existing PSM-WB01 and reconnect new module; test voltage sta
stability.
- Tolerance: ±2% on DC output, ±5% under load conditions
- Mesh Radio Unit:
- Replace MRU-MDBT50Q with new unit from spare inventory.
- Verify signal strength and connection quality using DT-WBD.
Battery Service
Service Description:
WanderBulb does not utilize internal batteries; however, certain mesh commu communication modules may use small coin cells for backup power during firm firmware updates or radio maintenance. Replacement of these batteries is re required every 12 months under heavy usage conditions to ensure optimal per performance.
Procedure Steps:
1. Disassemble Bulb:
- Remove the base ring and disconnect all connectors.
- Serial Number: Engraved inside ring (visible only when bulb is removed
removed).
2. Battery Removal:
- Use provided screwdriver set WB-DR02 to carefully extract coin cell CR
CR2430 from MRU-MDBT50Q module.
3. Replacement:
- Insert new battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Tolerance: ±1mm on insertion depth
4. Reassembly & Testing:
- Reconnect all internal connectors and reattach base ring.
- Power-on test to verify radio functionality; expect nominal signal str
strength.
Firmware Roll-Back
Procedure Steps:
1. Backup Existing Firmware:
- Utilize DT-WBD to capture current firmware image (version v2.0).
- Store backup on secure network drive with timestamp and serial number
labeling.
2. Prepare Rollback Image:
- Download previous version of firmware from internal server.
- Ensure compatibility by verifying checksums match known good values.
3. Update Procedure:
- Flash rollback image onto MCU using DT-WBD tool in recovery mode.
- Tolerance: ±5 seconds on update duration
4. Verification & Testing:
- Post-update test all functional aspects of bulb to confirm no loss in
features or performance.
- Record results in service log.
Decommission + Secure Wipe
Procedure Steps:
1. Isolate Bulb from Network:
- Remove WanderBulb from any connected mesh networks (e.g., HomeKit, Mat
Matter).
- Verify disconnection through DT-WBD tool.
2. Wipe Data:
- Initiate secure data wipe sequence via DT-WBD.
- Confirm success by attempting to re-establish network connection; oper
operation should now fail due to erased credentials.
3. Physical Disassembly:
- Remove internal components for disposal or recycling, starting with LE
LED module and moving outward.
- Document serial numbers of major parts before removal.
4. Degaussing:
- Perform degaussing on PCB using industrial degausser WDG-01 to elimina
eliminate residual magnetic fields that could interfere with subsequent man manufacturing processes or storage procedures.
- Tolerance: ±2 Gauss reading post-degaussing
5. Documentation & Reporting:
- Complete decommission form (WB-DL03) detailing all actions taken and s
serial numbers involved.
- Submit report to compliance officer for auditing.
Ambassador Signature Provenance
Verification Steps:
1. Ambassador Identification:
- Ensure the bulb has been manufactured by an authorized ambassador asse
assembly line.
- Look inside base ring for engraved signature (visible only when remove
removed).
2. Signature Integrity Check:
- Compare the actual engraving against a digital copy of the ambassador'
ambassador's verified signature stored in the internal database WB-DB01.
- Use optical character recognition software OCSR-02 to match signatures
signatures.
3. Ambassador Background Verification:
- Query background check records of each ambassador from centralized HR
management system WHRM-05.
- Ensure no red flags or discrepancies exist regarding the identity and
integrity of the assembler.
